Starting Point: Sembalun Village, East Lombok

Finishing Point: Sembalun Village, East Lombok

Itinerary:

Day 1: Sembalun Village (1,100m) – Sembalun Rim (Plawangan Sembalun) (2,639m)

06:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel in Lombok (Senggigi, Mataram, Bangsal, Sembalun area) and transfer to our base camp in Sembalun.

07:00 AM: Enjoy a light breakfast and meet your trekking guide and porters. Register at the Rinjani National Park office.

08:00 AM: Begin your ascent from Sembalun Lawang (1,100m). The first part of the trek involves walking through vast savanna grasslands, with a gradual incline.

12:00 PM: Arrive at Pos 2 (Tengengean, 1,700m) for a well-deserved lunch break.

01:00 PM: Continue trekking. The trail becomes steeper as you approach Pos 3 (Padabalong, 2,000m).

04:00 PM: The final push to Plawangan Sembalun (Sembalun Crater Rim, 2,639m). This section is quite steep and challenging, often referred to as the "7 Hills."

06:00 PM: Arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim. Set up camp. Enjoy the stunning sunset views over the crater lake (Segara Anak) and prepare for dinner.

Overnight: Camping at Sembalun Crater Rim.

Day 2: Sembalun Rim (2,639m) – Rinjani Summit (3,726m) – Sembalun Rim (2,639m) – Sembalun Village (1,100m)

02:00 AM: Wake up call and light breakfast with hot drinks.

02:30 AM: Begin the summit assault. This is the most challenging part of the trek, involving loose volcanic scree and a steep incline. You'll be climbing in the dark with headlamps, following your guide.

06:00 AM: Arrive at the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726m)! Witness the spectacular sunrise over Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and the vast caldera. Take photos and celebrate your achievement.

07:00 AM: Begin the descent back to Sembalun Crater Rim. The descent is quicker but still requires caution due to the loose scree.

09:00 AM: Arrive back at Sembalun Crater Rim. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the campsite.

10:00 AM: Pack up and begin the long descent back to Sembalun Village. The descent largely follows the same path as Day 1.

12:00 PM: Lunch break at Pos 2.

04:00 PM: Arrive back at Sembalun Village. Our team will be waiting to transfer you to your next destination in Lombok (Senggigi, Mataram, Bangsal, Kuta, Airport).
